We were founded on June 16, 1993, as Kibi Goldfields Limited. Over the years, we became just Kibi Goldfields or Kibi and built a history. We pioneered Ghana as a large-scale alluvial mining operator, sharing the passion for our business. We face challenges and we continue to learn every day. We have advanced ever since the first gold extracted in our Concession containing an approximate area of 46.63km in Fanteakwa and Atiwa Districts of the Eastern Region of Ghana. Since then, we started further exploration work in Bonsa in the Prestea Huni Valley District of the Western Region of Ghana and in the Juabeso District of the Western-North Region of Ghana.
Our history is built every day through each dialogue with the community, project carried out, and challenges overcome. We learn from the past to build together a better future.
We believe mining is essential to Ghana’s development and we only serve society when we generate prosperity for all and take care of the planet. We work every day to become a benchmark in building safer and more sustainable mining, putting life and safety first above all else.
We invest in different teams and are committed to inclusion because we believe that only in this way will we move towards more innovative, sustainable, and efficient mining.
We are committed to integrating sustainability into our business. Building a positive economic, social and environmental legacy and mitigating the impacts of our operations. Therefore, we transparently share information on our actions in the areas of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG).
