We are focused on discovering, acquiring and developing a portfolio of good mineral resources in Ghana. We currently operate four plants in our Concession in Fanteakwa and Atiwa District in the Eastern Region of Ghana. We are one of Ghana’s largest alluvial gold operators and have done so consistently for the past decade. At 31st December 2021 our Ore resources were estimated at more than 500,000 ounces of gold. We are focused on extending its Ore Reserve inventory at and around our existing operations in Ghana as well as discovering new development opportunities in our new projects.
Ghana is one of the largest gold producers in Africa, and gold mining plays a vital role in the country's economy. Over the years, several operations and projects related to gold mining have been developed in Ghana.
The Ghanaian government has implemented several policies and initiatives to promote responsible gold mining practices and to address some of the challenges associated with small-scale mining. For example, the government has established the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining to address the issue of illegal mining and promote sustainable mining practices.
Overall, gold mining has been a significant contributor to Ghana's economic development, but it is important for Kibi Goldfields to ensure that these operations are conducted in a responsible and sustainable manner to minimize environmental and social impacts.
